Zul moved to Athens, Ohio from Indonesia a few months before Lintang, who soon after found out she was with child. At 7 months pregnant, Lintang made her move to Athens. Their daughter, Menik, was born in the United States. Zul goes to class on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and on his days off he spends time at his apartment with his family. Lintang spends her days as a stay-at-home mom, caring for Menik and their home. The family says that everyone was very welcoming and that they enjoy living in the United States. After Zul completes his program, the Tinarbukos plan to return to Indonesia to raise Menik there.
